Flood Information:

          The State’s Disaster Relief Program is designed to supplement existing federal disaster relief programs and address gaps in coverage and eligibility for individuals and families, and also municipalities that were impacted by the flooding. A key component of the package is the $25 million State Individual and Family Grant (IFG) Program, which would provide individuals, families, and small businesses with grants of up to $5,000 for documented flood losses not covered by insurance or other government programs. 

You can file your application on-line or print a hard copy and mail it to the Department. Before beginning the application, please read the Application and Program Procedures.

Additional information and applications for the IFG Program are available at six centrally located Disaster Assistance Service Centers. The Disaster Assistance Service Centers are located in Broome, Delaware, Otsego, Sullivan, Herkimer and Montgomery counties. The Centers will be open 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily. The Center addresses are:

* Broome County: Binghamton High School, 31 Main Street, Binghamton, NY
* Delaware County: Walton High School, 47-49 Stockton Avenue, Walton, NY
* Otsego County: SUNY Campus, Lee Hall, Ravena Parkway, Oneonta, NY
* Sullivan County: Sullivan County International Airport, Terminal Building, County Route 183A, White Lake, NY
* Herkimer County: Herkimer BOCES, 352 Gros Blvd., Herkimer, NY
* Montgomery County: Fonda-Fultonville CSD Campus (Middle School), 112 Old Johnstown Road, Fonda, NY

If you need assistance filing an IFG application, please call the New York State Individual and Family Grant Program hotline at 1-888-7-NYS-AID. Operators are available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
